Wooden Kitchen
Kitchen is the most important room in a home. It is the main activity point of your family. Kitchen design ideas take time to develop, but you should consider what you are looking for that will also add to the value of your home. First think about your needs and priorities for your kitchen before consulting with a designer.
The design of your kitchen should encompass the uses & functions of the room. Design should include your lifestyle, how you entertain, how you cook and prepare meals, as well as the type of appliances you will need, what kind of stove and oven, texture etc..
If you want to get more kitchen design ideas then try to read articles, books on kitchen design, architectural style, magazines to know better about cabinets, countertops, flooring, faucets and fixtures, as well as lighting also. You also can visit home centers, showrooms and kitchen design stores. Get ideas, plan your design & enjoy!

Modern Furniture Design (Norman Foster)
Norman Fostar
Furniture producer Emeco has sent of some pictures of new design by Foster and Partnersthat will debute at the comingfurniture fair in Milan. It is a slightly anonymous chair and stool called 20-06 by a very famous architect. The new series by Norman Fosterrecalls Emico’s classic 10-6 navy chair which they have produced in over 1.000.000 copies since 1944. 20-6 is super strong, yet uses 15% less aluminium than the original navy chair. 80% is recycled aluminium, qualifying as an environmentally sound product.

Skateboards inspire Skate Study House furniture
Skate Study House
In the spirit of the midcentury Case Study House program, Gil Le Bon De Lapointe and Pierre Andre Senizergues have launched Skate Study House, afurniture design firm whose pieces often bear the influence of modern masters. The Jet Set lounge chair shown here, which sells for $4,495, is an hommage to the 1928 Le Corbusier C4 chaise longue. Eight skateboard decks are set on a metal frame and topped with cushions made of neoprene, the same material used for wetsuits, so the piece can be used indoors or outdoors.
2009 Shige Hasegawa’s “Hana” Set
The designers at Shige Hasegawa Design in Tokyo have developed this interesting, nature-inspired table and lamp set which is designed to focus in on a sense of tranquility and inspiration through simplicity. ‘Hana’ actually means flower in Japanese, which is pretty clearly the inspiration for these products: first, the Hana table, inspired by origami, is constructed from five flower pedal-shaped plywood legs which collectively hold up the glass table top without the use of additional screws or bolts.
Second, those with a green thumb and a good sense of style will fall in love with this unassuming, graceful lamp design. The charming, fabric-covered lamp design, Hana Stretch, is subtle and stylish and would make a great addition to a simplistic atmosphere in dire need of creative mood lighting.
2009 news: Twinni Wardrobe by M&G Interior Founders
Innovatively developed by Austrian based designers Heinz Glatzl and Joachim Mayr (M&G Interior Founders), ‘Twinni’ is a minimalist wardrobe with a simple framework to implement its shape. Cheerfully colored to bring an excitement to your home, it turns out that ‘Twinni’ could also be brought to play as a matt-lacquered MDF (medium density fiberboard) sitting counter with a large storage space capacity. I wonder how could you not drooling to get ‘Twinni’ home.
